Fully-Integrated LIFE:
Women Teaching Women
(Part Five)
to love their husbands, to love their children
(Titus 2:3-4)
As this week comes to a close, we rejoice with those who have shared testimonies. These women, participating in the Titus II ministry (Calvarys Womens Mentoring Ministry), challenge us to Put It Into Practice.
Heres one more testimony (in two parts).
Best Daddy in the Word (Tammy MacDonald)
KK Gilbert was a speaker at Titus Two in the spring of 2003. She spoke on marriage and parenting. She shared many references from Scripture and practical advice. What a godly example we have been blessed with!
In her time of sharing, she encouraged us young moms to speak and boast of our husbands to our children on a regular basis. I figured this should be painless, and, during our prayer time with our boys that night, I thanked God for giving us such a wonderful daddy and that he loves us and works hard for our family. I began to affirm my husband to my kids during the day. It didnt take long until one night at prayer time I heard my youngest pray, Thank you God for giving me the best daddy in the whole wide world and that he loves me so much. WOW! I was left speechless before my son and God.
Our home has a new sense of appreciation for each other. Thank you KK. Thank you Titus Two for giving the mature women an opportunity to teach us younger women.
Encouraging the Younger Women
(Tammy MacDonald)
I have been blessed to sit under the leadership of a couple of godly women in Titus Two here at Calvary. They have both taken the opportunity to teach from Scripture and lead me in a closer walk with God.
This semester I have been paired with a mentor that has previously struggled with a particular situation I have found myself in, and she has shared candidly from her heart how God has brought her through. She has been real and transparent every step of the way taking my calls and praying faithfully.
I knew all I had to do was call or see her and say, please pray, and I knew she would be on her knees. God is doing wonderful things through Titus Two.
